The Monticello City Parks Department and the Monticello-Union Township Public Library announces its Winter Parks Programs for January, February, and March.  
  • snowyPre-2nd grade   All programs held at 6:30pm at the Anheier Building in City Park. Please register by calling Cindy at 583-4525
    • Feed the Birds -Tuesday Jan.16 - Make bird food, bird crafts and learn what birds do in winter.
    • Valentines Crafts -Tuesday Feb.13 – Valentine’s Day Party! Make crafts for your Valentine and enjoy Valentines cookies.
    • Everything Green! –Tuesday March 13 – Green is St. Patrick’s Day, but also spring. We will do spring crafts.
  • 3rd-8th grade  All programs held at 7pm at the Anheier Building in City Park. Please register by calling Cindy at 583-4525.
    • Make a Bird House – Thursday Jan. 18 –Learn about birds in winter and make your own bird house.
    • Volcanoes and Earth Quakes –Thursday Feb.15 -Why do we have these natural disasters? We will explore the reasons.
    • Simple Machines and Inventions – Thursday March 15- Fun with simple machines, the beginnings of inventions and innovations.
  • Adult Crafts  All programs held at 7pm at the Anheier Building in City Park. Register by calling Cindy at 583-4525. Fee to be determined.
    • January 23rd: Living Roof Birdhouse.
    • February 22nd: Mosaic Bird Bath.
    • March 20th : Gourd Watermelon Bowl
  • Family Winter Walk   Each hike will begin with a raffle to win 5 walking sticks in January, 5 wool hiking socks in February and a birding book in March. Be brave and join us at City Park Anheier Building on Sunday at 3pm on Jan. 14, Feb.11 and March 18. We will hike from there.
