Ralph Widmer, Council, Ward 4

After growing up in Benton County, living in Tippecanoe County and moving to White County, I decided the best place for me to retire was Monticello, Indiana. I wanted to be a part of a vibrant, diversified community with great people, recreational opportunities and many facilities not often available with a small-town atmosphere.

I began a career in banking in 1975 serving many clients in White County. I have also owned farmland and developed property into building lots in White County. I became a resident of White County in 1997 and a resident of Monticello in 2007. Monticello is my home.

My wife, Teresa, and I have five grown children and eleven grandchildren. I am a graduate of Benton Central High School, Purdue University and University of Wisconsin, but my most useful education came from many years of experience.

I have represented the residents of Ward 4 on the City of Monticello Common Council since 2014. I hope to live in and serve Monticello for many years to come.
